About SCAWC 2017

Welcome to the official website of the International Conference on Soft Computing Applications in Wireless Communication - SCAWC 2017. SCAWC 2017, is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for engineers, researchers and student technocrats to discuss and promote research & technology transfer on Soft Computing Applications in Wireless Communication. The objective of the SCAWC 2017 is to enhance scientific and engineering information interchange among researchers, engineers, students and practitioners working in India and rest of the world for promoting research and development activities.

The SCAWC 2017 conference is scheduled to be held on March 09-11, 2017 at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, Punjab, India. The conference is organsied by the Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College and technically co-sponsored by Institute of Doctors Engineers and Scientists - (IDES). All the accepted registered papers will be published by the McGraw-Hill Education Proceedings (both Print and CD media) and will be indexed in CrossRef. All the selected presented papers will be published by the Grenze Scientific Society and made available in the Grenze Digital library.

English is the official language of the conference. About Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College

India is one of the oldest civilizations in the world with a kaleidoscopic variety and rich cultural heritage. It has achieved all-round socio-economic progress during the last 67 years of its independence. India has become self-sufficient in agricultural production and is now one of the top industrialized countries in the world. It covers an area of 32,87,263 sq. km, extending from the snow-covered Himalayan heights to the tropical rain forests of the south. Punjab is one of the prosperous states of India where city of Ludhiana with the population of more than 35 lakhs is located. The city stands on the Grand Trunk Road (NH-1) from Delhi to Amritsar. It is well connected by buses and trains from Chandigarh (100 km), Amritsar (140 km) and Delhi (320 km). The domestic airport of Ludhiana is 10 km from the college campus. The nearest international airports are at Chandigarh, Amritsar and New Delhi.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), Ludhiana, Punjab (India) is organizing the SCAWC-17. GNDEC Ludhiana was established in 1956 and is an autonomous college under UGC Act 1956. The college is a premier organization of North India which is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and has all UG Programmes accredited by NBA under Washington Accord. The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in 1981 and is currently running Bachelors of Technology, PG diploma, and Masters of Technology courses in Electronics and Communication Engineering and in VLSI Design, and Doctorate in areas like Antenna Design, VLSI, Optical Communication etc. Ever since its inception, the department has been the hub of academic excellence through some great teachers who have laid a sound foundation as well as the cream of students of the region, who have spread their wings all over the world. The students of department are placed in reputed companies through campus placement and have achieved professional excellence over the world.
