The first international conference on “Soft Computing Applications in Wireless Communication (SCAWC’17)” is being organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana (Punjab). The college is NAAC accredited with grade ‘A’ and ISO 9001:2008 certified. The department of ECE runs courses at Doctrate, Post-graduation and Under-graduation levels with UG programme being accredited by NBA under TIER-I. National conferences on advancements in Electronics and Communication Technologies have been organized over the years by the department.
SCAWC’17 is the first international conference being organized in the niche area of soft computing applications in the field of wireless communication with major sub themes like multi-antenna communication, RF and Microwave Communication, Free space optical communication etc. Major areas include Soft Computing for Algorithm Design and Analysis, Soft Computing Applications for Information Security/Cryptology, Mobile Communication System Design and Analysis, EMC/EMI and Side Channel Analysis of Wireless Communication Systems, RF and Microwave Communication, MIMO and Multi-Antenna Communication Satellite, Space and Free Space Optical Communication, VLSI/SOC/Embedded Systems for Communication Application, Nano Technology and MEMS for Wireless Communication, 5G and Wireless Broadband Networks, Wireless Adhoc, Sensor and Broadband Networks Design and Vulnerability Analysis, Energy-Efficient Wireless Communication, Signal Processing for Wireless Communication, Wireless Communication Powered by Energy Harvesting and Wireless Power Transfer etc. The Proceedings of the conference shall be published in book form by McGraw-Hill Education and will also be available online.
